Rattle from clutch area when clutch is engaged.
When driving my 88 350 5 speed I hear a rattling sound. It only makes the sound when the clutch is engaged, as soon as a disengage the clutch the noise goes away.
Recently when I turn my car off I hear a scraping noise for half a second or so, again it sounds like it's from the clutch/flywheel area.
I'm taking the car on a 12 hour round trip this Saturday, so I want to fix this soon.
What does this sound like? I'm new to diagnosing manual cars.
Thanks!

Did you look underneath for any loose bolts or visible damage.

yeah you probably. should put her on stands and have some one pop it in gear. while you watch from below. If you think its coming from the drive train. it could be the throw out bearing on the fork rattiling.
