Issue with new transmission mount
I recently had the transmission mount replaced on my stock 82 Trans Am (THM200C) when the transmission fluid and filter were changed. The new mount is a basic $9 Duralast, and ever since installation, there has been a very noticable vibration through the center console as the car accellerates and even at highway speed. The mechanic who did the repair does nice work and is very familiar with 3rd gen cars, so I am now looking for recommendations for a high quality transmission mount in the hopes that this will solve the problem. Thanks

Re: Issue with new transmission mount
They make several different types of mounts and heights. Usually when you replace one it's because the installed one has ripped in half. Since yours is a 200-r4 it will be a little different but I imagine the same principles apply just have to find the ones for your application.

Re: Issue with new transmission mount
Replaced one just recently on my 87 fire-bird, old one in 2 pieces.
www.spohn.net had some excellent parts that were reasonably priced.
