As some of you now i rebuilt my nwc t5 finally got it working however today i was driving down the highway no problems and in 5th gear then i came to a stop light that was red so i downshifted though all gears stopped and took off normally but then i go to shift intoo 5th and nothing no more gear push the shifter all the way up and the best i get is some grinding but still no 5th gear. Since the rebuild there has been no problems till now, no grinding no hard shifting no popping out. 1-4 still work perfectly and rev works perfectly. Due to how 5th gear is put on ik i didnt screw that up, so wtf happene to 5th gear?

 

I thought your kit had new square wire lockrings, one for behind 5th.

If not, Ford E3TZ-7064A should work as new.

 

Not sure what a square wire lock ring is but probley didnt and the rebuild manual i dont thinl called for it but the counter shaft is case gear blocker ring snyco washer/snap ring maimshaft 5th gear is case with bearing gear snap ring.

Thanka for the pm jmd if i have to take it apart bc 5th gear walked ill do that. But where did it walk to? I mean there was like no room for it to move let alone walk out of allignment.

So 5th gear completely ignored the snap ring but consequencly i think ik why my speedo isnt workig lmao
