700r4 not quite right
I have a 89 350 iroc that I had a transgo shift kit installed and it doesn't seem quite right now. It shifted real nice before but I had to mess with it with the kit
. When I go from a dead stop everything is normal and the shift points are correct and it shifts crisp and will bark the tires from 1-2. When I floor it from about 40 and it downshifts to second it seems to rev but the car isn't moving forward quite as fast as it should until the next shift happens. I don't mean a full blown slip but just like it is not quite right but once it shifts it is fine and u are moving nicely. It feels kind of the same when you floor it and it downshifts to first but it shifts so quicky it isn't as noticeable and it hits the next gear nicely. I reset the tv cable and checked the fluid level and it looks good. I am just wondering if a half a quart of added fluid might make a difference. It didn't do this before the shift kit. Any help would ber appreciated.

I forgot to add that shifting into reverse it seems to have a slight delay. Almost not noticeable but I believe there is a difference than it what it was.
Re: 700r4 not quite right
Try adding fluid, as a slight delay going to reverse could possibly be a low level. If it is going back to 1st and then to 2nd quickly, then that might be what you are seeing.

Re: 700r4 not quite right
I added a half a quart and it didn't change anything. It shifts perfectly when I shift it manually going thru the gears from 1st and so on. If I downshift manually or with flooring it feels like the times when you are going too fast for the lower gear and just revs quickly and kind of sits there but when it shifts it feels like it should. I adjusted the cable per the instructions on various threads so am not sure what to do next. Once again it shifts great but when it kicks down to a lower gear it mainly just revs and then shifts.
