Anyone have any ideas why a rebuilt T-56 with a new clutch would pop out of reverse sometimes? All the other gears are fine.

Real common problem with that trans. Search around here (or on Ls1tech) and you'll see some write ups about fixing it. If you end up having to replace some parts while you're in there, might look into doing this. I've done it on one and will be doing it on my 97 Formula this spring.
