Lowering tranny, what needs to be removed?
I just finished putting in a new transmission in my 86 trans am 305tpi but I forgot to snug up the cooler lines
. I know the dizzy cap, driveshaft, and cross member need to be removed in order to lower the tranny enough to get access to the lines but could I leave the detent cable, dipstick tube, shifter linkage, and torque arm hooked up without causing any problems? Looking for the fastest way to get this done since it's freezing outside and my garage has no heat.

I have it lowered and I tightened up the lines but noticed I can still push the lines deeper into the tranny but the threading is snugged up, there's also fluid between the line and fitting, is this normal?
