T56 noise/ vibration after new release/throwout bearing
I have a 89 iroc with a 355tpi & T56 I installed a stage 2 Comp. Clutch kit with new pilot bushing, throwout bearing, PP and clutch. Around a month ago it was all fine cruising it trying to break in clutch, had no chattering issue or anything like that. One day I was driving home from work (around a 1hr drive) got off freeway started making a noise asked around did research people saying it was throwout bearing. So I removed my t56 replaced it with a new throwout bearing. I checked pilot bushing felt smooth and looked good so I didnt replace it. So I installed trans this past Thursday and as soon as I started up I felt a vibration/Noise in neutral or driving I feel it more between 1k to 1500 rpms now I feel like it might be the pilot bushing but not sure.
Any info/help is appreciated.

Re: T56 noise/ vibration after new release/throwout bearing
I got a 454 single turbo charged engine in front of my T56 and never had that type of vibration.
Have you checked the trans mount? Vibrations in neutral sounds like that might be the problem. I also use solid motor mounts so idk if that will change things on your end but might be worth looking at
* I got a McLeod twin disc setup also, just fyi, those things got a lot of bushings/shims to deal with, again never had vibrations.

Did you pull the bellhousing/engine together with the bolts or did you get it lined up so that it popped into place? If the trans is a little off center weird things can happen.

I kmow it aint my trans mount cause its the same one as before and there was no noise/vibration. I pull the trans with the bell housing cover out then I lined it up to reinstall trans. Ill be pulling out this week.
