WC T5: G force case vs cluster support plate
hello thanks in advance for your time and wisdom
i have a 92 rs street car that sees quite a bit of track time drifting and i still drive daily year round. i dont have to launch hard like a drag car with slicks or even shift hard, but i will clutch kick it at the track on street tires and generally thrash it on the street. power goal is 300-350hp later this year. its my understanding that beyond that i need more that a beefed up 10 bolt rear and T5.
my original plan was hanlon rebuild kit, g force case, a street or street/strip clutch, and a umi torque arm relocation cross member.
I called one very reputable shop yesterday and they said to use the G force cluster support plate and that frankly the case may be a waste of money.
I called G force today and the person i spoke to lacked confidence in their answer but recommended buying both after speaking to other employees.
will the support plate do 90% of what the case does for stiffening?
thanks
