What to do with the "transmission perform" button ?

Car: 1988 Pontiac trans am
Engine: 305
Transmission: 700R4
What to do with the "transmission perform" button ?
I'm about to start my '94 LT1/4l60E swap into my '88 (305TBI/700R4) . My question is what do i do with the button ? can i swap it over to my '88 ? Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance .

If you are using the LT1 PCM and wiring see no reason why you can't
