700R slip

After a hard acceleration, my tranny will no longer engage, I go through all gears including reverse but there is no gear shifting and very little movement from the car.
I can get the car to move a little but I am pushing the car to over 3500rpm.
If the tranny ends up needing to be replaced is there any type of upgrade I should consider? Any suggestions or positive comments will be appreciated.

Re: 700R slip

If it's just a Daily driver or not driven often with a stock motor, have it rebuilt or buy a salvage yard used one. A high HP built tranny will run you $2500-$3000

Thank you, the car is not driven often only in the summer. I agree with your comments..
