I have a 1989 formula 350 that I'm going to put vortec heads with either a super ram or edelbrock pro flo xt intake I'm thinking about installing a comp cams 276hr I'm going to run a megasquirt3 setup with sequential injection and ignition using a 96-02 cam sync distributor and a 24x reluctor wheel from efi connections. What gears should I use if I retain the 700 and what would you recommend if I went to a 4l60e this will be a weekend driver maybe some track time nothing serious

 

The low first gear in the 700R4 doesn't like a deep gear in the diff. Something in the mid 3.xx range works well.

Doesn't the 4L60E use the same ratio?
