Clutch adjustment help
I installed a new clutch, had the fly wheel turned, put a new throw out bearing in,etc and now my clutch pedal has does not engage until its to the firewall, and even then its not enough to put it into gear. I need a new ?clutch adjustment rod? if thats what its called, but advance, auto zone, napa, etc all say that part does not exist in there data base. I measured and i need a 10 inch rod to get it to work right and i dont know if what i found on the internet is 10 inch.... If anyone knows of a site that sells what im looking for, please send me the link and i would be eternally grateful.

No, no, no, and no.
Which of course, is why you can't find one listed: you don't need one besides the one you have now.
Which way did you assemble your throwout to your fork?

It occurs to me also, that you may have the wrong throwout for your clutch, if it didn't come as a set...

Note how this throwout is a bit taller than the one in the assembly pic; has that extra little "shoulder" to it. Low-perf clutches tend to use this style, so if your clutch was kinda the "low-bid" option, might need one like that.

Re: Clutch adjustment help
I did hook up the fork the correct way that the picture shows and the bearing did come with the clutch. The clutch is not a cheap one either, its a heavy duty one and it was the best one the auto store sold. I had a retired mechanic help me put it in and he said he has run into this exact problem before and fixed it by buying a longer clutch adjustment rod. If you have any other suggestions I would try them, but Im pretty sure it just needs a longer adjustment rod but we could both be wrong so Im open to any help.
Im thinking this might be long enough but the length is not listed. http://www.jegs.com/i/Auto+Metal+Dir...FUIV7AodmDEAMQ
