Hey everyone I just bought a Muncie 4speed for my 1982 Z28 Camaro project. I have a 350 4 bolt main out of an old truck that I'm building as well. I know the trans will hook right up to the with the right bellhousing and such but I have a question about the car. I plan to stick with a mechanical clutch so does anyone know what pedals I could use with this set up? Also what should a do about the trans crossmember. I'm about to be a college student so I'm kind of nickel and diming as much as I can but I dont want to skimp on parts that have to be a good quality. How much fab will it take to make this work?

Trade the Muncie for a T10, then you're just copying the stock '82 Z28 setup, but most of those parts are rare. Or sell the Muncie and buy a T5. Then you get overdrive. The Muncie isn't that wonderful anyway, with only a 2.52:1 first at best. Old T-10s often have 2.85:1, later had choice of 2.43, 2.64, 2.88, or 3.42. All are strong enough for a mild 350, forget the 3.42:1 first for a serious build, like with Vortec heads.

Why spend $3000 just to hold a 350?
