BW 5spd problem

BW 5spd problem
My Son has recently picked up a 1967 GMC show truck, problem is the Borg 1338 066. 5 speed keeps popping out of 2nd. And 3rd. Gear. He was told its out of an 86 olds. Anyone with any info to verify this ? What is a person looking at in regards to repair the jumping out of gear ? How about switching to a Muncie, is the input spline the same? Thanks everyone !!

Pictures would help identify it.
The Borg Warner T-10, T5 and Saginaw 4 speed were used in third gens.
