HELP! Wont shift into third, guy says might be Modulator Tube
auto trans.
some guy said it might be the modulator tube. i had it parked since november, and now it wont shift into third gear, everything else shifts fine. he said spiders like to go up there.
is this a thing? i did a search and didnt see anything.
if it is, how do i fix it??

Assuming this is your '89 GA, the trans is a 700R4, which doesn't have a modulator. When you say it won't go into 3rd, what exactly is happening?
Does it try and the engine just rev's up? Does it stay in 2nd and pulls to redline?

The tranny needs to rebuilt. Clutches are fried.
