T5 to T56 GTO

T5 to T56 GTO
I have done some research but cant find the answer to my specific question. I currently have a T5 car and am swapping to T56 from an 06 GTO. I need to do something with the clutch master cylinder to get it to work with the hydraulic throwout. I am considering getting the adjustable LS1 master from Tick performance or Hawks but I am wondering if I need to get 4th gen pedals or it will work with my current T5 setup.
I understand the post on the clutch arm for the clutch rod to mount to is smaller than the 4th gen but I could easily shave down the heim joint or get a thinner one altogether to make it fit. But, is there enough throw? or, some other problem?
Please help as my LS swap is at a standstill!
Thanks

Re: T5 to T56 GTO
98-02 hydraulics and 4th gen pedals can be used in your third gen. The pedals have a misalignment of the upper, 5th bolt and you'd cut off the accel. pedal.
The third gen pedals have more travel at the clutch pedal master cylinder stud, obviously you could go with an adjustable master and try the third gen pedal. The Tick is a larger bore master. This is going to tend to give a shorter travel, firmer clutch pedal.
Details below your name about your car, engine, transmission, and axle can be added here

Re: T5 to T56 GTO
Thank you for the information.
Also, I bought a b @ m shifter for a 4 th gen f body. Is there something else I need to change to make it work? I have seen people say a 4th gen shifter cup bushing is required but it seems to fit when I place the shifter on top. Is that just my imagination?

Yep. You need a 3/16" punch and it swaps.
