Sure if it's the same generation case (divorced valvebody in 87.5-up or early)
V6 carried the 27 spline converter / pump a few more years too.
Some years would have more clutches in a pack in the V8 version. So, sometimes the effort to teardown and utilize used parts isn't worth it.
