Let me first say that I am probably on the wrong forum but I saw other trans related questions regarding the TH 400 on here so I thought someone might be able to help me. My th 400 went bad so I had it replaced. However , the person replacing it broke off the shifting mechanism almost flush so I cannot mount the linkage to my replacement th 400. I need to know how to replace the part from my old trans to install it on the replacement trans. I've circled the part in the picture I am uploading. Could someone give a step by step instruction on the removal of this and the reinstall on my replacement trans? Thank you in advance.

 

Just take off the pan and look. You won't have any trouble figuring it out.
