Problem with t56 rebuild
Has anyone had any problems removing large main shaft bearing, the one next to first gear? I've taken off the rubber o-ring. All my searches tell me it should just slide off! If anyone can please help, it would be greatly appreciated!
Again it's a t56
Thanks in advance!

Re: Problem with t56 rebuild
There may be some fettering dripped into it, lightly seizing it to the shaft.
Tapping upwards or using a long reach puller on 1st gear will move it.

Thanks for the reply jmd! I finally was able to get it off with a little heat and a hammer. First gear also didn't slide of without tapping it with a hammer either. First gear was also slightly ridged at the end. I'm not sure if this transmission is rebuildable. Do you have experience rebuilding these transmissions?
