So basically i bought an 89 camaro with a gen 1 350 and im rebuilding it and making a 383 stroker. The original owner was attempting to run it with a non w/c t5 which i think is definitely the wrong way to go if i want it reliable. But i want to go with a th400 and was wondering what all i would need to do to complete this swap. Any and all info is appreciated.

 

Why a 400? I.e. what's the use of the car?

You'll need a different drive shaft, crossmember, & torque arm provisions.
