TH200c

Hi!
Please help!


I have a 82 Trans Am with the Th200c in it.


The tcc converter clutch is bad but everything else works.


Can it be replaced on the car? I donīt find anything about it and how
it can be done!

How do you know the clutch is bad?

The clutch is in the converter. Only way to replace it is to change the converter. Yes you can replace it on the car; not sure there is anywhere else it could be replaced? Problem however would be, if the clutch isn't working, the clutch itself might not be the reason why.

Smart thing to do would be to throw that thing in the trash and put a Turbo 350 in it. Bolts right in with almost no modifications whatsoever except for the torque arm, but there are solutions available for that.

I installed a holley efi system on the trans am and powerd the tcc converter clutch with a relais. i heard it clicking but the rpm does not decrease.

So i thing this thing doesnīt work.

If it clicks it's probably OK, and the problem is more likely the clutch.

My relais clicks. not the solenoid.

but when the relais clicks i know that the solenoid had ground.
