700r4 downshift issue

Finally got the trans in the car and took for a test drive.

When I'm slowing down and the trans down shifts, it slams down into the next gear. Harder than if i manually down shifted it. Never had one of my transmissions do this after a rebuild.

Anyone maybe have an idea what might be causing this?

Best I can tell. I am getting a pressure gauge so I can confirm what my pressures are. I'm sure that will tell a big part of the story.

Re: 700r4 downshift issue

Well, "best I could tell" wasn't even close on my tv cable setup. While it looked spot on it wasn't even close. A word of advice to everyone, get yourself a pressure gauge to set your tv cable properly, it's the only way to do it right.

Transmission downshifts much better now, however, when I put it in Reverse, it slams into gear. Seeing as I didn't modify the Aux VB, I don't like this. I will need to investigate and fix this.
