So I have a T5 WC that recently pushed the 5th gear lock ring out of the output shaft's groove and thus let the gear come off the spline. I put it back together and it came off again. Any ideas on how to fix this permanently? I've been looking around and I suspect a new lock ring may help but where can I but that separately from a rebuild small parts kit?

 

I've welded the ends of the ring together on two different transmissions. It didn't pop off again.
