Hi all,

I have a1986 Camaro Irocz that I replace a 350 crate engine. I still have the original manual transmission which the manual describes as a 77mm 5 speed manual. It a has whining sound only when engage in gear and goes away when I press the clutch. Couple of questions:

1- Any idea what the sound might be? maybe the rear axle?
2- Is there any rebuilt kit for this particular transmission?

Any help is appreciated.

If you have the factory trans then you have a T5 and there are plenty of rebuild kits available
