speedo with th400
I have an 88 Firebird with a newly installed th400. Is there any way to retain my factory speedo operation? Any companies out there making an adaptor that will convert the mechanical output to a useable signal? Is there a tailshaft out that will bolt up to the th400 and give the appropriate signal? I have not had a driveshaft made yet, so switching the tailshaft won't hurt a bit. Thanks in advance, Don Barnett
well, know that TCI makes an adapter for converting an electrical signal to a cable drive, you might check thier site or contact them. www.tciauto.com might also check www.hughesperformance.com

The TH400 uses the same speedometer gears as the TH700R4, so you should be able to take the VSS from a car with an electronic speedo and just stick it in.
No wait. Sorry, I lied.. the housings are different depths.
