Shifter Cable Pin

Must have knocked the pin or whatever was there out, where the cable connects to the shifter, when installing carpet last weekend.

Does anyone know what exactly should be there or part number? Right now I bent a nail to move it in and out of garage while working on it today, otherwise will just get a small bolt and lock nut and should be good enough.

Re: Shifter Cable Pin

A cotter pin and flat washer would be a suitable permanent solution.

Or, one of those "hairpin" clips you can get at a hardware store, like this, except in whatever size that hole is. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt...9608/204276625 Which I think that's kinda what it was from the factory.
