Tips on finding a good rear end

I've been building my 1985 z/28 for about a year now and Im pretty sure it has the 3.23 rear end gears and it could really use more pep. I have a 305 with a big cam, 650cfm carb, summit racing headers, performer rpm intake mani, and a 5speed behind it. Im looking into 3.73 gears but I want to find something thats already built and together for a good price. maybe that doesn't exist, just trying to find something to bolt in and go. Thanks!

Re: Tips on finding a good rear end

Changing the gears is arguably just about as easy as swapping the rear end. Pick which foolishness you want to deal with - R&P setup, or all the moving, lifting, and brake system foolishness associated with swapping the whole tube. Personally I would rather do the gear setup myself so I know it's done right. 10 bolt gears are CHEAP. Alternatively if you are going to swap the whole thing find a 99 to 01 fourth gen rear with the Torsen in it.
