A stupid T56 conversion question...

When purchacing a new clutch, it needs to be one that fits the T56, right? Or is it for the engine? I'm putting my money on that its for the tranny, but wanted to be 100% sure. Any opinions on a Stage II Centerforce? Thank you- Roy

Thank you for the reply, but what does that mean??? There really aren't to many performance stores even remotely close to me, so I need to order the parts. I have a '94 tranny, so I should just match it to that, right?

yep...
Jeg's lists it as 11" with 1-1/8" 26 spline shaft.

Thank you for the info. Do you suggest a Centerforce ( I can only afford a stage II), or should I go with Hayes or RAM?

If it were me... i'd go with the CenterForce....But I've seen positive feedback about all three. If you're not planning any engine mods in the near future, like 30,000 miles I'd just get the best price with a warranty.

Try SLP. They sell a clutch/pressure plate combo for ~$340.00. It is supposed to have around 30% more holding power than a stock clutch. I have had no problems with mine. Much better than spending $530 on a Centerforce.
