Tremac T-56? B/W T-56? what is the difference?

Tremac T-56? B/W T-56? what is the difference?
Hey guys, I have a B\W T -56 and I just got a tremac T-56..... I was told that both of these transmissions were factory. When did GM switch suppliers? Whats the difference between the two? Any help would be greatly appriciated! I was going to use the B\W as a parts trans, but I dont know if any parts are interchangable..... thanks in advance, jon
