Th200C sticking valve??
I adjusted my transmission, it’s a lot better, shifts where I’ve read it should, and kicks down if I get on it hard. But occasionally when slowing down at an intersection (but not stopping) and turning at a slow speed, when I reapply the gas it doesn’t kick down and does this jerky lugging thing. A mechanic friend said it could be a governor valve that needs to be cleaned. Could anybody tell me how to do it?

Unplug the wiring plug on the driver's side of the case. Go for a drive. If the problem resolves, it is the TCC solenoid. Not simple to change on the 200-C, but easy to diagnose.
