Tail Shaft Housing for 1996 F body
Tail Shaft Housing for 1996 F body
Recently swapped a B-body Lt1 into my 3rd gen Firebird, and I have no way of mounting my torque arm. I am considering swapping my tail shaft housing for an F-body one. The AC delco part number has been discontinued, and I can't seem to find a manufactured one anywhere.
Where can I buy this part? Does anyone have one they'd sell? and would my speed sensor be okay?
The Pull a part in my town has a 1996 camaro with a v6 auto, however I am also unsure if that will work since it's a v6.

Might be cheaper to buy a toque arm relocation crossmember. That way you dont have to take the trans out. I'd first figure out if the ls1 and lt1 tailhousings were the same. American Powertrail, RPM transmissions, tick performance, or D&D performance should be able to help you with a quick phone call. Most of them should sell the tailhousings as well.
