Is this supposed to be straight?

Hello, was working on replacing my cross-member tonight and noticed not only a new oil leak where the transmission and engine butt together, but also that this isn't straight... It's where the shifter goes into the car. . .

Is it supposed to be straight? If so, what can I do? Or did I literally bend my transmission?

Please excuse my ignorance.

Re: Is this supposed to be straight?

The trans is fine. GM bolted them to bellhousing that way so shifter is closer to driver.
