How do I figure out what transmission I have in my 1991 camaro z28 it has the 305
I am unable to get under the vehicle and check as my stand broke and I have no other way to lift it and check the tranny are there any ways to check it?

700r-4 for auto unless someone swapped it. T-5 stick unless someone changed it..

I'm not 100% certain of the year it happened, but sometime in the early 1990s GM renamed the 700R4 to the 4L60 , So it might be called that instead.
Same transmission, just a different name (The 4L60E which came after the 4L60 was different, being Electronically shifted)
