SLP Posi???

I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about or has used the SLP posi. The one listed for $99. It says it's an O.E.M. replacement. The price seems to good to be true.... did I maybe read it wrong??? I have a '90 RS w/ stock rear end. What is the differential in it now? Thank you- Roy

the SLP posi is a take-off unit from 4th gen z28's that are making their transition to an SS. If you look at slponline.com you will see a heavy duty posi unit for about 300, the SS's get those i think.

Im going to be doing the same thing in a few months. The only thing is that you will need gears for a 3 series carrier, so your 2.73 's cant be used (like you would want to put them back in anyways). I would go with either 3.42 or 3.73s, im going with Richmond 3.73s. And unless you are going to have over 300-350 hp, this would be the perfect unit. Seeing that the new LS1s come stock with 310HP.

So if you were having second thoughts about whether this would work or not, hope they have been cleared up.

As soon as I can track down some friggin 28 spline axles I am going to order mine. They are way better than the cone styles and the gov lock in my opinion. I had an Auburn for 3 weeks until is came apart and now I am back to one wheel peel!

It is more than adequate for what you have right now.

I love my SLP OEM Posi and 3.42 gears. Makes a huge difference in the car plus the thought of no clutches to wear out.
