Three Rivers Aluminum Driveshaft toast?

I had a new steel one made for my twin turbo setup so the original steel and this aluminum one are spares and will go.

This is the 12564004 Three Rivers

Do the gouges ruin it?

Did this come factory on my 89 Formula 350?

Is that a yoke for a 700R-4?

Thanks!

That looks like about where the end of the welded in yoke is. Looks real odd at that point and I'd not trust it. Really wonder what caused that too. That really big weight on the shaft next to that worries me some too.

Re: Three Rivers Aluminum Driveshaft toast?

it can have a new tube cut and welded for not a terrible expense, probably cheaper than anything bought used and shipped to replace it. i wouldn't use that one on any car with power under power. that's the new failure point for certain.
