700r4 Snapped TV Cable

Been driving my 700r4 for a little while now with no issues. I can shift into every gear, but overdrive is a bit sluggish. My TV cable snapped and wasn't connected. How is it that I didn't burn through the clutches?

Or is there damage and I'm just going to realise it when I hook the TV cable back up?

You're going to want to change the fluid and filter; any debris in the bottom of the trans pan will provide a clue as to possible trans damage. Don't drive the car again until you replace the TV cable and adjust it correctly.

If u do not hot rod the car, tranny s/b okay. As suggested, u need fluid change & filter.

I barely drove it and when I did I manually shifted gears. Not sure if that helps

I will change the filter and fluid thank you!
