700R4 valve body...

When tearing down for rebuild, I noticed it was very difficult to get valves out. Any ideas on why this would be?

Buildup of crud on the bores.

Get a set of bench buddies and clean them real good.

Overheating/ warpage...

Very common and if a light polishing/ clean-up does not correct things, then the Valve-Body is junk.
