WTB: Sonnax AS1-01K TV Cable Corrector Kit

This Sonnax part I'm looking for (really nothing more than a spring with a stop but in a 5 pack) is availabel through the usual mail order suspects. Up here in Canada the cost of shipping, not to mention the dollar exchange basically triples the price to get it landed here.
Seeing as it's a 5 pack, maybe someone here made the purchase and has one left over.
If you do and want to sell, I'm interested.

I'm hopeful.
Thanks in advance.

Re: WTB: Sonnax AS1-01K TV Cable Corrector Kit

Covid was a killer for me as I had to purchase parts for my '84 Trans AM in the U.S. and have them shipped to Windsor On. Customs import fees to UPS as shipper U.S. to Canada cost me almost $30 twice. Since I could not cross the border to Detroit I had to pay the price. Now I can travel to Detroit & pick up parts shipped to a UPS store. 40% money causes me to just grit my teeth & bear. Actually, I save money by using Detroit than buying here.

60 bucks to ship a 30 dollar part!
At one time I was close to the border. Not Windsor close but Toronto's not too far. Now I'm a 6 hour tour from the middle of Alberta to Montana.
I can probably cobble something together that will work as well as the Sonnax part. It's just a drag that my country doesn't have the automotive smorgasbord that the U.S. enjoys.

U may also have to pay a brokerage fee as I did thru UPS. they were shipper source to destination.

So far with Summit, I've found that the brokerage is covered.
On the other hand, when I ordered my converter directly from Edge in California, I was popped for a brokerage fee.

Still on the look out for one of these.
If it's a swing and a miss, $400 CAD to Summit gets me free shipping!

What are you wanting to accomplish here?
Later part throttle shifts?

Re: WTB: Sonnax AS1-01K TV Cable Corrector Kit

No.
This 4L60 was just rebuilt. Lots of good parts.
This will be a little lengthy...
I'll point out this is a complete replacement (not my old unit rebuilt) and the previous trans had proper TV linkage geometry at the carb. WOT provided full extension of the cable while the idle position had some tension but very little. Little pressures as per ATSG were as they should be or higher.
For whatever reason, this replacement, when adjusted for WOT extension has a lot of slack at idle. Same cable. Same TV bracket. Same geometry corrector. The slack is such that line pressure is frightfully low at a 900-1000 RPM idle. I've gone so far as to shorten the amount of extension which keeps some tension on the cable at idle. WOT is now limited as a result. This is a temporary fix.
It was suggested and as per SONNAX that this spring (the one posted above) will provide that idle tension needed while WOT is achieved as the spring will compress. Seems it's not an uncommon problem but it's new to me.
Here's the unusual thing. In all the 4L60 / 700R4's I've worked on I always had to fish that little hook out of the valve body opening with needle nose pliers so as to allow the cable eye to be slipped on. It's obvious there was spring tension drawing that linkage hook back in. This transmission however saw the hook sticking up out of the case. Slipping the cable end over it was easy and no pliers needed. It struck me as odd. The result was the idle slack I mentioned. I know the cable is still attached after assembly as there's tension drawing inner cable back when extended by hand.

As it is now and it's the same as it was previously.

Below is what I've generally used as my geometry target. I've tried several methods of cable adjustment but the results are the same.

I'm happy you responded to this Dana. Your input is appreciated.
