Powerglide Transmission???

ive got a question for yall. i own a 88 camaro with a stock 700-R4 and i was wondering how a Powerglide transmission would do and if any modifications would have to be done to the driveshaft, shifter or speedo cable. the 700r4 has had a rebuild for a performance and it has a junky S-10 converter on it. so i was also looking for any recommendations for a decent stall converter on a powerglide i have a cam running 234 intake duration @ 50. the powerglide is already rebuilt and in my possession any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

If it's something that gets driven on the street at all, I wouldn't want a powerglide.

What do you mean by junkie s/10 converter? I'm using a 2100 stall converter from a astro van in my moded 700r4 and it works GREAT. I know a guy that runs a trans shop, and he recomened the converter I have. I was worried if it would last beings it was a rebuilt for a 4.3 astro. I've hammered it pretty hard and it's still holding.

stock glides suck and your car is too heavy for a preformance glide.
