i have a 88 gta the car has 38000 ori. miles about 6 months ago i put a b&m shift improver kit in. it gave me hard shifts but at w.o.t it wouldnt shift untill 6000 r.p.m and it would studder for a sec. befor it would shift i called b&m and they told me to put a new 2-4 vet servo in it. i planed on takeing out the kit and puting a stock v/b back in because the trans. was fine befor i put the kit in i just wanted to get harder shifts.befor i did that i put a supercharger on and a few days ago i lost 3ed and 4th, it will shift 1 and 2 fine but when it go's to shift into 3 it just rev's like you are in N. is there anything i should check befor i pull it out and take it to a trans shop. i was calling around and every shop say's because all my hp and torque that they would beef up the trans and most shop's want about 1500 to do it . dose that sound right. they also said i need a better torque converter i have the stock one right now. what kind of torque converter should i got and what stall speed would be good this is a daily driver so i dont want a big stall and i dont want my m.p.g to go down that much. one shop told me they could fix and beef up my trans for $450-$750 i dont know why they were so low but if you guy's could give me a list of things and parts that i should have them do and put in when i take it there so my trans. can take all my hp. and torque it would be great
