okay im deciding to go withthis 355 w/ spuercharger that a friend of mine is sellin for 3grand. and everything in it is just right the reason he's ellin it is becuz its just sittin there collecting dust. he's makin me a deal with it he said i couldhave it for 3 grand plus he would throw in the powerglide tranny that is on it right now. now my question is should i use the powerglide or stick to my th350? the only thing right now wrong with my tranny is it needs a tune up and nothing else. its got a shift kit on it also. so if anyone could help thanx.

If your supercharging the 305 stick with the Th350 they are pretty bullet proof and the extra gearing will get you moving faster, Powerglide works in high stall / serious horsepower mostly because the engines make so much power at that rpm range the whole Drivetrain plays "catchup" with the engine and thus the car goes really fast, I think you will HATE a powerglide in athirdgen however...
Ive got a Th350 with a shiftkit in my car, and im putting a blower on it making over 450 Torque and 550 horsepower should be fine...
