Shiftkit in a V6

Shiftkit in a V6
I have a shiftkit with a .471 boost valve and corvette servo .The mechanic told me , you might wanna think about this before you put this in , it will shift real rough b/c its really made for a V8 .What do you guys think ? Anyone have a shiftkit in their V6 ?
