how can i find out what series carrior i have(orginal carrior, new one not in yet). is there some number on the rear or old carrior. i bought a 3 series carrior. i need to know by tommorrow. sorry for the short notice. any input would be great.

If you have the original HO rear end, it has 3.73 gears. You have a 3 series carrier and gear set.

If you don't know what's in the car, take off the cofer and look at the gears. If they are 3.08 or lower, you have a 2-series carrier. If they're 3.23 or higher, you probably have a 3-series carrier.

are they stock gears....because if they are aftermarket, there are 3.73s that are made for 2 series carriers.
