Transmission Help

I have a 1991 z28 and im getting ready to put in a shift kid, corvette servo. I dont know if the transmission has ever been serviced and i was wondering if this will hurt the transmission. Should i go ahead and wait for it to go out or should i have the transmission rebulit first.

Thanks

First, does the tranny HOLD in EACH gear, regardless of shift quality? Second, is the oil relatively clean? Next, are you installing a genuine Shift Kit or some inferior bang shift product?

If it is not too late I would strongly suggest you go with the Genuine Shift Kit from TransGo and not the inferior product you mentioned (not a shift kit).
