Hey guys.. I have my stock rear in my car right now with 2.73 gears , open rear (non posi) and with my engine setup, its bogging my acceleration down a ton.. I want to add a 3.73 posi setup to my car. I heard from many people to get the powertrax setup from jegs, and then the 3.73 ring/pinion to go with it. Some people told me just to buy a posi 3.73 rear, but for one I cannot find one, and for two they will be heavily used, and im planning on keeping this car for a long time, so i misewell just get new parts. So this is my question... I have the GM 10 bolt 7.5" 26 spline rear. on jegs they sell the powertrax setup for that rear end for 399.00.. but then i would need a gear/pinion set and i cannot find a 26 spline 3.73 (7.5") setup anywhere on jegs. so what parts would I need to get from jegs in order to get that setup in my car with 3.73's? Am I just missing something? If you can please tell me what part #'s i will need on jegs so I dont order the wrong ones.. let me know what you guys think, and what parts i would need to order (part #'s) so I dont get the wrong stuff. I apprecaite your help guys.. thanks..

Spline has nothing to do with the gears. Look for 3.73 10 bolt 7.5 inch, in a 2 series carrier. Jegs and summit carry them. You can get the powertrax 'regular' locker for usually around 310, it isn't quite as smooth as the 399 no-slip system, but it works great. I don't have any part numbers, I'm at work.
