2 and 3 series carrier pictures

I seen a 3.27 rear axle in a Trans Am GTA and my car has 2.73 gears so I need pics to understand the difference between the two series carrier. I'm computer literate and not much of a mechanic. Thanks

The difference between a 3.27 and a 2.73 carrier is night and day as the 3.27 is a 9 bolt carrier and the 2.73 is a 10 bolt carrier, but in light of that (ie regardless of that), the difference is the location of the ring gear mounting surface relative to the pinion center line. The difference between a series 2 and a series 3 (9 bolt or 10 bolt) is approximately (Edit .29 inches).
