ZF6 clutch kit on T56?

I've got a centerforce dual mass flywheel/clutch/pressure plate for a ZF6 sitting around. When I go to put a T56 in, can I use these?

so its what is the lesser of two evils

What in the world are you talking about? That has nothing to do with his question.

No, I don't believe that you can use a ZF clutch for the T-56. The T-56 uses a different style than any other GM trans that I know of and I'm pretty sure that the ZF uses a standart type of push diaphram. Although I could be wrong.

ummmmm someone makes an adapter plate to bolt a T5 bellhousing to a T56.........i believe you would be able to use a conventional clutch but you would need your driveshaft shortened

so i think the real question is: what the hell are you talking about?

j/k

sofaking, both the zf6 and the t56 use a pull style clutch, so the question is still up. The t-5 uses the conventional pull style clutch.

UT, when i get my t56 clutch parts in come over to my house and compare it to your zf6 clutch and see if they are similar or not.

The 89-96 Vette ZF6 uses the same clutch disc as the 93-97 LT1/LT4 F-body.

As for the rest of the parts, you're on your own.
