Need help with new Raptor 700R4

I just got my new tranny in and it does not want to shift into second under heavy throttle until well over 6000rpm. At lower rpm it seems to shift ok. Also it does not want to stay in fourth unless I am over about 55mph. Does this sound governor related? Should I try my spring from my old tranny? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would first call the guys at Raptor and discuss it with them. What about the tv cable?

ok, i have a 700r4 in the 84, how do you properly adjust the cable ? mine was disconnected for at least 6 months and it shfted very hard into gears, and the connector was broken on the cable is why it wasnt hooked up, so i zip tied it to the carb throttle plate nipple thing, so what can i do to make sure its adjusted- hope this helps 91 ZZ4 also !

thanks!

I don't know how to adjust them because I have a manual valve body in mine. Sorry.

Thanks, I talked to the people that built it and they just said to adjust the cable witch I did and it made not difference (either that was not it or it was adjusted wrong a second time). The reason I though it might be the governor is that I had a similar problem just the other way the other car was shifting to low and replacing the spring did the trick. I just don't want to go messing with stuff until I have some idea that what I am doing will fix it. I don't want to drive it too much with the pressure high enough to bump into third at just 50mph with no throttle pressure.
