After adjusting the TV cable to within an inch of its life the car will still not stay in 4th gear when you press the gas pedal.
Same problem as before the rebuild, still got the same problem.
Full kit fitted in my 700r4 so what else could it be ???

Did you try putting a new cable on? They stretch over time and will cause all kinds of problems. I would suggest totally eliminating this possibility before pursueing other problems that may not exist. If you need some help E-mail me.

If you mean when you're in 4th and floor it then yea it shifts to third, that's just how the tranny was designed. It can be overridden with the proper valve, but then it has a tendancy to drop out of 4th when you reach a certain RPM and destroy the tranny... Don't go over half throttle in 4th and it'll stay in 4th, that's just how it is :-(
