I have the stock tranny from an 86 Z-28. I am worried that it might go (I just bought the car and i am skeptical). i don't know too much on the car right now. But what should i do to the tranny to make sure it handles long rides. I was thinking about putting in a TCI torque converter and a shifter kit. Is that all? Or should i take the previous owner up on having him give me the other tranny he had. He has another stock tranny. The reason why i told him to keep it when he sold me the car was because he told me that the tranny in there was good.
